Reinstalling server addons

So ive been using leaked addons to learn how to make and config a server and all the addons and now im somewhat ready to buy addons and maybe make the server public (without the risk of backdoored addons from this site cause im sure 99% of addons are backdoored) but does that mean i have to completeeeely restart my server when replacing the addons with the paid ones? or can i simply just delete them out of the addon folder and replace with paid ones and just reinsert the configs?

In short, does deleting the addons out of the addon folder completely remove them and their data so that when i put the legit, paid addons in they dont intertwine data somewhere hidden in other folders?

Still a noob to this obviously lol so i just dont want to do anything that makes it harder in future and such. idek how to setup the battlepass upgrade stuff and website store. barely understand mysql or the PHP site
